Here is where I'll post pictures of my latest and greatest maps, which are based off of historic and awesome places.

Trim Castle-90% complete (testing needed at some point...)
View of the Yellow Tower from the keep
Spoiler:
Defenses set up at the Sheep's Gate
Spoiler:
View from besieging team's spawn
Spoiler:
The main gate in it's restored glory!
Spoiler:
Satellite view of the map. As you can see, half of the walls had to be made up due to the real ones being destroyed...
Spoiler:
Spoiler:
View of attacker spawn from the curtain walls (yes my head got bloody while I was playing by myself...don't ask)
Spoiler:

Senlac Hill, the Battle of Hastings-90% complete, testing is all that's needed
Norman-side view of the hill
Spoiler:
Saxon-side view of the hill
Spoiler:
Overall view
Spoiler:
There's less to show here since it is simply a hill. Think of it like a random plains match. This maps pretty much only practical for formation fighting though haha.

Nice map, make sure you add some stuff to the outsides though (trees etc...) as well as paint the textures on the ground. Maybe earth for the inside of the castle, or village cobblestone?

It's actually pretty easy. In fact, all of these maps were done solely by me Very Happy

I won't go into the advanced stuff, but basically, when you start up Mount and Blade (you know, when you can select your modules and stuff?) there is an option called "configure". Go to that, and check the boxes for "Start Windowed" and "Enable Edit Mode". Then, once you are in a map, hit Control+E to enter the map editor! From there on it's too complicated to explain in one post. I learned by myself through trial and error, but there are LOADS of guides on the TW forums.

ok since im having trouble on making the siege towers / ladders to work on my map i decided to
give up
so if gawain wants he can take over my map if its worthy (you will have to tell me how i can pass it over in a pm)
i will just work on training maps and regular battle matches since they do not require siege equipement AND THOSE STUPID ENTRY POINTS

Haha don't worry, I personally try to avoid using the moveable ladders. They only work correctly about 30% of the time. Siege towers I can do, but not ladders, they just don't like me. If you want to send it to me, there are 2 things i need. First, find the .sco you edited. then, make a .txt containing the terrain code. You can find the terrain code by opening scenes.txt in the module you were running, and searching for that scene. So if you were editing scn_multi_scene_1, i need the .sco for that scene and the terrain code entry for that scene found in scenes.txt. Smile

SWEET!!!!! i cant wait to go there Very Happy!!!!!!
Additions to the ranch thing possibly maybe?
Dueling rink/flat platform
Something high up to play around on
a podium for gowe to stand on when we are in training (heh)
a place for honor duels (like for lordship and such) and places where the whole clan can watch around it (if they want)
a tricky obstacle course filled with narrow spaces and jumps over pits of death (idk) Very Happy
a place to practice archer skills...(idk maybe a target at the end of a fenced in alley?) like a bowling alley, only u can go closer/farther away?
a flat plain ground to practice on (or go crazy with cav)
a place to go afk!/gowes lounge Razz

thats just random stuff that i would want if i could make a map.

Very nicely done, Wolflo! Make sure you have spawns and everything right then send it to me!

You know, this reminds me a bit of our old training ground haha. it's like a throwback but improved. If you're ready, send it to me tomorrow so i can put it on our custom server when we need to train. I can put a password too to keep it all GK.
